Data-based decision-making in maintenance service delivery: the D3M framework

Purpose This paper aims to present a dual-perspective framework for maintenance service delivery that should be used by manufacturing companies structure and manage their process, using aggregated historical real-time data improve operational decision-making. The framework, built continuous improvement, allows the exploitation of knowledge processes machines. Design/methodology/approach Dual-perspective, data-based decision-making process (D3M) development test followed qualitative approach based on literature reviews semi-structured interviews. pool interviewed was expanded from stage increase its applicability additional perspectives. Findings interviews confirmed are interested in exploiting generated use phase delivery. Feedback methods tools collected, as well suggestions introduction new ones according companies' necessities.
